Elephant Rock Writing & Content Creation, LLC
The writing desk
I'm a legal content writer with a Juris Doctor from the UMKC School of Law and more than 3,000 published articles for LegalMatch and Thomson Reuters FindLaw. Law firms and legal tech companies hire me when they need content that is legally accurate, readable by real people, and built to rank.
What I write
- Practice area pages — the pages that turn searchers into consultations
- Legal blog posts and library articles — question-driven content mapped to what clients actually search
- FAQ and answer-engine content — structured for featured snippets and AI Overviews
- Location and city pages — for firms competing in multiple markets
- Attorney bios and firm pages — E-E-A-T signals Google can verify
- Content audits and rewrites — I audit and correct existing legal libraries professionally; outdated law is a liability
Why firms hire me
A J.D. means I read the statutes and cases myself instead of paraphrasing other blogs, and I verify against primary sources before anything ships. Before law school I was a newspaper editor in Montana, so I write clean, hit deadlines, and don't need three rounds of edits. I've been doing this at production scale since 2021: my LegalMatch author page alone lists thousands of articles across family law, criminal law, business law, real estate, personal injury, employment, and estate planning.
Content built for AI-era search. Search is splitting between classic Google results and AI-generated answers. I write for both: question-led structure, verifiable authorship, and the kind of first-hand expertise signals that AI Overviews cite instead of burying. If your legal library was written in 2019, it's underperforming in 2026.
I also offer keyword research, SEO audits, and AI implementation consulting; the AI automation side runs through my firm Thane Operations at lakeozark.ai.
How it works
- Scope call — practice areas, markets, goals, and voice.
- Keyword and competitor research — I use SEMrush to find the questions worth answering.
- Drafting — cited to primary sources, formatted for the web, delivered in Google Docs.
- Revisions — one round included; most clients don't need it.
Video production & audio engineering
Lake of the Ozarks, Mo.
I shoot on a Blackmagic 6K cinema camera with custom color grades, edit and grade in DaVinci Resolve, and engineer audio in FL Studio and Pro Tools. One person handles the full pipeline: capture, edit, color, and mix, so you're not stitching together three different vendors.
Real estate & STR tours
Listing and short-term-rental walkthroughs shot on cinema gear with proper lighting and grading: the water, the deck, the sunset, the space the way it feels in person.
Business, events & music
Brand films and ad spots for marinas, restaurants, and contractors. Multi-angle event and live coverage with clean audio. Full creative music videos for artists.
Recording, mixing & production
Vocals, voiceover, and podcasts. Streaming-ready mixes that translate from earbuds to a car system. Original beats and full instrumentals, plus distribution support.
Common questions
Do you work with agencies?
Yes. A large share of my work has been white-label production for legal marketing agencies and publishers.
Are you a practicing attorney?
I hold a J.D. and write legal information content; I don't provide legal advice or representation. That's exactly the lane content marketing lives in.
