I time most of the important actives I do.

This is how long I spent actively writing legal blog pages today, aka the business move that makes me the most money. I finished 16 articles today using Anthropic AI, the ChatGPT app, and Google Gemini. I also use the Hemingway app to keep my content grade levels low.
Tracking time spent working is a great habit because it allows me to understand how fast I’m working, how productive I’m being, and how much money I’m making. This is a technique I learned from listening to Jocko Willink. Do the thing that makes you the most money first. These are wise words I learned from my dad and from NFL veteran offensive lineman Jason Whittle.
I’ve consistently tracked my hours spent working and concluded that 4-5 hours of deep focused effort is all that is actually required to succeed at anything. Do not track time bathroom breaks or time spent scrolling or eating. 4 to 5 hours of laser focus gets it done.
I also track my time spent working out for efficiency. A 15 to 20 minute workout is enough to get in fantastic shape. But it must be a driven, focused effort. Having a healthy body is the first paddle downstream toward solid mental health
