Dispatch
Chama to Taos down Hwy 64 through Tres Piedras has to be one of the best drives in the country.
I packed my little family and my 2 German Shepherds up in my truck and made the trek to Big Horn Weed in Taos today to pick up four seedlings of the Don Lemon strain, which, from my understanding, is a strongly Sativa-leaning plant. These have the thickest stems of any of the plants I’ve grown in the past, so I assume that they have strong genes. They look like they are a few days away from being ready to flower, so I’m going to take some cuttings and put them in water to root (if you have any advice, please DM)
After that, we hit up Alys a la Carte, the Mediterranean restaurant on Paseo Del Pueblo Norte. I had a 12 oz espresso, and my girlfriend got a gyro with some soft lamb and beef in it.
I asked the guy at the drive-thru window if Alys uses eggs from the chickens that they have cooped up outside for their meals. He said the county makes them pasteurize their eggs and apparently made them take down one of their signs because they didn’t have a permit for it(?). I said that sounded like government overreach, and I thought we lived in the land of the free. I then laughed out loud afterward when I saw the stop sign on my way out with a sticker correlating the police to something about genocide. So it’s probably no wonder the county is giving them some shit.
Anyway, a thunderstorm rolled in as I drove back through the Carson National Forest. The sky went completely dark, the temperature dropped into the 30s, and there was snow on the road before I knew it. The rain made the landscape around the top of the Brazos Cliffs look eye-poppingly green.
I hope everybody out there had a good weekend. I finally managed to get Starlink to connect to a satellite over the past few days, which was difficult because we are surrounded by trees.
Now that I have wifi, I’m going to release the interview I conducted with Kelle Sparta from the Eleanor Daggett Library in Chama. She is self-described as a psychic, a medium, a channel, an energy healer, a sound healer, an empath, a transformational shaman, and a spiritual and business coach. She also hosts a top 2% podcast, Spirit Sherpa. It was definitely an interesting conversation, and I will let you decide for yourself if you believe what she was saying.
I can also now resume my live streams of meditation/sleep music at night from Duff Radio, so you’re welcome to tune in. I’m also writing the script for a video going over the mistakes I made early in my career as the owner of a freelance writing business, and if you have any questions about that, you can feel free to hit me up.
